Veggie Queen Cooking Demonstration

This Sunday- August 21st 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fresh from the Market Pressure Cooking – Chef Demonstration with the Veggie Queen, Jill Nussinow. Jill Nussinow, aka The Veggie Queen, has been teaching people about the joys of eating whole food, plant-based meals for the past 30 years. For more than 25 of them she has been teaching at Santa Rosa Junior College as adjunct chef instructor specializing in vegetarian and vegetable classes. Jill will also have a selection of her books available including her newest, Vegan Under Pressure. Our Chef Demonstrations are sponsored by TeeVax Home and Kitchen Appliance Center.

Art Show in Depot Park August 20th & 21st– The Artist’s Round Table will at Depot Park Saturday and Sunday 10 to 5. The Artist’s Round Table was founded  in 1953 to practice and promote appreciation of Fine Arts and Crafts.  There are now over 100 members, including one of the founding members who still paints and shows her artwork.

Live music every Sunday. Check out the coolest market in town and enjoy top-notch performances at Santa Rosa’s West End Farmers Market at their Hootenanny Stage. Music from 10:00-1:00. This Sunday: Sebastian St. James (singer songwriter). Music scheduled by Second Octave Entertainment.


Coming up August 28th! Slow Food Russian River Community Apple Press Slow Food Russian River will bring their Correll Cider Press to WEFM. Expect to be blown away by the taste of freshly pressed apple juice  that was pressed just minutes ago from local apples. Slow Food Russian River is an extraordinarily active and successful chapter of Slow Food whose activities showcase and support good, clean and fair agriculture and food in Sonoma County.
