Hard to believe that our market season is coming to an end… it’s been a wonderful year. The final Sunday is on December 14th- so you have two more opportunities to come out and enjoy the market, visit with your favorite local farmers and artisan food purveyors.

The Veggie Queen, Jill Nussinow, will be at the market THIS Sunday the 7th of December. She will use fresh from the market ingredients for a cooking demonstration and have hot food samples. Would you like to learn about tasty recipes for a whole food, plant-based meal? She will also have copies of her latest book Nutrition CHAMPS available.

City of SR Water Resources Specialists will be on hand with free give-aways and information about water saving programs and incentives, including cash for grass, rainwater, gray water, hot water recirculation pump. If you would like to get a rebate for getting rid of your lawn- they will be3 happy to tell you how to do that.

This week’s artist: Them Travelin’ Birds. On December 14th the Hubbub Club will bring their music, their joy, color and music to the West End Farmers Market’s Final Sunday of 2014.

Celebrate the Festival of Lights on DEC 20TH with Goodman’s Jewish Delicatessen, in the West End! Appetizers + 4 course dinner + entertainment all for $70/person (kids 10 and under are FREE, and 11 + up are only $20)! Enjoy the vocal styling of Heather Klein – Yiddish soprano, with accordion accompaniment! Goodman’s will whisk you away to exotic lands with the fragrant spices of Jewish Sephardic cuisine. A portion of ticket sales go to the EBT program for the West End Farmers Market.
