Did someone say strawberries? Handlebar Farm will be selling their delicious, organic Sweet Ann strawberries at the market. Farmers Ian Healy & Emily Mendell are premiering their first crop from their new field of strawberries, they have about 1000 plants producing the sweet red berries. They will also have beets, carrots, broccolini, spinach and Skyphos & Jerico lettuce. Handlebar Farm is a small, diverse vegetable and herb farm located on an old apple farm in Sebastopol and they are CCOF Certified Organic.

Coffee with a Conscience– The Arlene Francis Center’s booth sells drip coffee, iced coffee and lemonade. In accordance with AFC’s mission to “foster the creation of a better world”, they serve only organic, micro-roast, direct trade coffee. Barista, Alex Shapiro’s specialty is iced coffee that won’t get watered down since it is served with coffee ice cubes! Shakespeare in the Cannery (presented by AFC and Vacant Lot Productions) will premiere its six-week engagement of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet on July 18th on the site of the former California Packing Company’s Plant No. 5 on 3rd Street in Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square. Drop by their booth this Sunday for more information on this local, sustainable, green event.
